GR1 TREBLE FOR SUPER MARE

Bella Nipotina, an extraordinary mare sired by Pride Of Dubai, clinched her third Gr1 victory and boosted her earnings to nearly $11 million with a stunning win in the Tatt’s Tiara at Eagle Farm. Trained by Ciaron Maher, she has shown remarkable consistency, never finishing worse than sixth in her last 17 starts, and has been within 2.3 lengths of the winner in 16 of those races.

Over the past three months, Bella Nipotina has competed in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, and Western Australia, participating in four Gr1 races during the Brisbane Winter Carnival. She finished in the top two in each race, securing two wins. Despite racing three-wide from barrier 17, jockey Ryan Maloney guided her to an effortless victory.

This 6-year-old mare will now take a short break before being prepared for the $20 million The Everest, scheduled for October at Randwick. Bella Nipotina, bred and raced by Michael Christian, was a bargain purchase at $80,000 from the Premier Yearling Sale. She is one of 99 individual Gr1-winning Inglis graduates since 2018 and among 44 that cost $100,000 or less.

Christian expressed his awe at her performance, describing her as a “freak” and highlighting her consistent high-level performances. Bella Nipotina is currently priced at $13 with Ladbrokes for The Everest.

Winning trainer Maher praised her exceptional performance across multiple Gr1 races, noting her resilience and consistency. Alongside Bella Nipotina, several other Inglis graduates achieved Stakes victories across Australia, including Vow and Declare, Zarastro, Cottee, Princess Rhaenys, and Femminile. These wins underscore the quality and value of Inglis graduates in Australian horse racing.
