HANDICAPPING RATINGS UPDATE

FLAMBOYANT STAKES (Listed)

MARY’S GREENLIGHT remains unchanged on her official rating of 103 following her victory in the Listed Flamboyant Stakes for fillies and mares over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Thursday. The Handicappers unanimously agreed that 5th placed finisher, BEVIES DELIGHT, made for the most suitable line horse to assess this race, leaving her rating unchanged on 96.

There were merit ratings increments for two more runners besides the winner. 2nd placed, PERILLA, went up from 96 to 101, while 3rd place finisher, MISS PLATINA went up to 98 from 86 for beating the 96 rated line horse by 1 length (2 points) at level weights.

Two horses received ratings drops of 1 point each. CELTIC BEAUTY was dropped to 103 from 104 and MASCHERINA went down to 94 from 95.

CHRISTMAS HANDICAP (Listed)

IMILENZEYOKUDUDUMA has seen his rating adjusted to 109 from 104 after impressively landing the Listed Christmas Handicap over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Thursday. Here, it was 3rd placed, DIANI who was deemed to be the most suitable line horse to assess this race, leaving his rating unchanged on 101.

The only other increase in the ratings was for 2nd placed, SELUKWE, who went up to 97 from 89. Seven of the eight points SELUKWE received were due to him being under sufferance since this race was benchmarked at 52kg = 96.

NAVAJO NATION was the solitary runner to receive a drop in the ratings following this contest and he dropped slightly to 103 from 104.
