Anthony Stroud went to €1.1 million to secure the day's top lot, a Sioux Nation filly out of Listed winner Porthilly consigned by Glending Stables. The filly, catalogued as lot 82, traces to a strong black-type family that includes Ricine, Mirror Black and Sharpitor.

Stroud highlighted the vendor's track record when explaining the purchase. The agent pointed to previous acquisitions from the same source, naming Zanthos and Vandeek as examples, and noted the filly had delivered a strong breeze.

Later in the session, Stroud returned to action on behalf of Godolphin, signing at €900,000 for a Blue Point colt offered by Yeomanstown Stud. The colt, lot 197, is a grandson of Group winner Souvenir Delondres and descends from a family that has also produced Dr Zempf and Distinct Habit.

Stroud described the colt as fitting Godolphin's criteria across the board, citing both the sire's standing and the family credentials, along with Thursday's breeze performance.

BBA Ireland Goes to €850,000 for Kingman Colt

Michael Donohoe of BBA Ireland secured a Kingman colt for €850,000 after strong bidding in the ring. Grove Stud presented the colt, lot 113, whose dam Ship of Dreams is a Listed winner and Group-placed performer. He is a brother to Group-placed Go Just For It and comes from the family of Group 1 winner Shirocco.

Donohoe emphasised the colt's physical appeal and the strength of the stallion behind him, while also pointing to the form of his brother, currently with Joseph O'Brien, who made a notable impression when breaking his maiden. The agent credited Brendan Holland's recommendation and singled out the presence of Lope de Vega as broodmare sire as a significant positive. The plan is to give the colt time, with Donohoe suggesting he has the profile of a classic prospect for next year.
