A Gun Runner colt consigned by Eddie Woods set a new record at the Ocala Breeders' Sales March 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale, fetching a remarkable $3 million at the closing session on March 13. This price surpassed the previous OBS sale record of $2.45 million, set in 2017 by a Tiznow colt, Conquistador, at the OBS Spring Sale of 2-Year-Olds in Training.
The colt, listed as Hip 654, was purchased by bloodstock agent Donato Lanni on behalf of Zedan Racing. The gray or roan colt impressed during the under tack show, breezing the co-fastest eighth-mile of the sale, completing the furlong in a speedy :09 3/5.
