The Magic Millions Raceday will proceed as planned this Saturday at the Gold Coast Turf Club after the newly laid section of turf, installed following the mysterious poisoning of the original grass, was approved by stewards on Thursday morning. Six horses galloped over the repaired area, and jockeys gave the surface their approval, ensuring the track is safe and ready for one of Australia’s premier race meetings.
The incident, still under investigation, did not deter Turf Club staff, who worked tirelessly to replace the turf in time for the rescheduled event, which will feature marquee races like the Magic Millions 2YO Classic and 3YO Guineas.
