Only 7 to Compete in Majorca

The Majorca Stakes, one of the most prestigious Grade 1 Weight-for-Age races specifically for fillies and Mares, has attarcted a disappotoinf 7 runners. However it is a quality group with a lowest merit rating of 104 and just one out of province raider.

With a total prize of R1,000,000 and 1600m as the race distance, this event attracts top contenders. The weight-for-age (WFA) conditions provide younger horses with an advantage, as 3-year-olds carry 5kg less than their older rivals.
