Trainer Vaughan Marshall has categorically stated that One Stripe is going nowhere anytime soon.
He meant he isn't leaving Cape Town for Kzn or anywhere else so was the interpretation of what he said to the media of late.
"He's staying here," he declared, "There's the sale race and then we will look at the Cape season," speaking of the horse staying put in Cape Town.
One Stripe has become a valuable commodity with two Grade 1 winners from his last two starts. It also seems unlikely that One Stripe will head anywhere else to meet Quid Pro Quo, widely regarded as the best filly South Africa has produced in a while. Even veteran jockey Piere Strydom declared her 'the best filly I've ridden.'
Whilst One Stripe vs Quid Pro Quo is a no go and the Kzn season unlikely, the horse will only likely be seen by those in the Cape whilst interestingly owner Rikesh Sewgoolam is a KZN resident.
One Stripe, the highest rated horse in the land, period!
