Race 1
#4 Katniss: Produced an eye catching debut over this course and distance 2 months ago, she has been put away for 88 days since then; the rest could only have done her a world of good as she would of matured and strengthened up during that period of time. jockey Grant Behr retains the ride for trainer Dean Kannemeyer.
2nd, 3rd, 4th: #1 Under Milkwood, #9 Seattle Silva, #5 Leaves Of Grass
Inc: 7
Race 2
#4 Newlands: Placed in a feature when rounding off his juvenile campaign 4 months ago, he has been rested for 123 days and gelded. He has enjoyed racing at seven furlongs, and should have no problems stepping up to a mile. Up and coming jockey Donovan Dillon knows him well, and he will do duty for conditioner Joey Ramsden.
2nd, 3rd, 4th: #3 Whisky Baron, #3 A New Dawn, #6 Carbon Offset
Race 3
#5 Hither Green: Is starting to find her feet, she is starting to show some improvement after making a somewhat slow start to her career, she ran on smartly for third last time out and will go close if she can reproduce that performance. jockey Devin Ashby retains the ride for the Paul Reeves yard.
2nd, 3rd, 4th: #6 Konkola, 10 African Honey, #1 Aviatrix (or banker)
Inc: 3,7,8
Race 4
#12 Tiffindell: Hinted that she may have ability when running third on debut at Durbanville over this distance, that run would of brought her on a ton and she will be a lot more aware of what is expected of her having had a run under the belt. Champion jockey S'manga Khumalo has been booked to ride her for the Snaith stable.
2nd, 3rd, 4th: #3 Nanna's Rock, #2 Sandy Bay, #9 Osca
Inc: 5,10 (or banker)
Race 5
#4 Wake Up Maggie: Returns from a lengthy break of 157 days, but she was a top class juvenile last season winning 2 of her 4 starts, and she should have plenty of scope for further improvement as a sophomore. There should be loads more to come from this filly, who could very well be a top sprinter in the making, and she can get her three year old campaign off to a flyer by scoring here. Top jockey Grant Van Niekerk will be in the irons for Bass racing.
2nd, 3rd, 4th: #3 Hanabi, #3 Candaleeyah, #8 Drop The Pilot
Inc: 1,9
Race 6
#4 Al Wahed: Must be forgiven for a poor showing last time out, he has developed into a five furlong specialist as he has gotten older, and will be a lot better over the minimum trip of 1000m. He will be a lively contender in this contest if he can reproduce his penultimate effort. The experienced Richard Fourie steps up for trainer Mike Stewart.
2nd, 3rd, 4th: #1 Captain Bagg, #3 Zinnavar, #8 Caballo Blanco
Inc: 2,5,6,7
Race 7
#3 Gyre: Won a good race in his latest performance, what was most encouraging about that particular run, was that he simply got better as the heat progressed and finished powerfully. He is a very solid miler and will have very strong claims of following up under Greg Cheyne who is one of the best jockeys around. Conditioner Adam Marcus, will be hoping that his charger can score his third career victory.

#5 Rinjani: Has been knocking at the door as of late with two third place finishes, he ran behind a top sort in Craven last time out, and he is the horse to beat if he can bring that run to the track. Top lightweight jockey Grant Van Niekerk retains the ride for the Bass stable.
