Clifton Stud continues to reinforce its status as one of South Africa’s premier thoroughbred nurseries, with graduates enjoying an outstanding season on tracks across the country.
Among the farm’s recent stars are G2 SA Nursery winner Better Never Ends and G3 Tote Strelitzia Stakes winner Querari Dancer, while performers such as Victory In Orleans, Mai Sensation and Teerex have further enhanced Clifton’s reputation for producing quality racehorses.
Clifton Stud will once again present a strong draft at the upcoming KZN Yearling Sale, offering progeny by Act Of War, Captain Of All, Chimichuri Run, Declarationofpeace, Eden Roc and Erik The Red. The farm will also offer yearlings as agent by Digital Age and Eden Roc.
Among the standout colts is Romanticist (Lot 48), a son of the promising Erik The Red. He is out of a winning Gimmethegreenlight mare and hails from the family of G2 SA Fillies Nursery winner Dash For Gretna.
Erik The Red is also represented by Jingle Jester (Lot 145), a filly whose pedigree includes three winners, notably KZN Yearling Sale Million runner-up Dandolo.
Eden Roc has five representatives from his first crop in the draft, including:
- Roc Island (Lot 96) – a half-sister to six winners headed by Teerex.
- Zin Roc (Lot 160) – a filly closely inbred to Captain Al whose dam is a three-parts sister to triple Grade 1 winner Captain America.
- The Roc N Rolla (Lot 180) – a colt from the family of champion Kochka.
Other notable offerings include:
- Roses Of All (Lot 66) – a full-sister to G2 Debutante Stakes runner-up Captain’s Christy.
- Wallis In Love (Lot 192) – an Act Of War filly from the family of Clifton-bred champion Mrs Geriatrix.
- Digit One (Lot 98) – a daughter of first-season sire and US Grade 1 winner Digital Age, from the family of G1 Hollywoodbets Cape Guineas winner Jan Van Goyen.
