Equinox and his father head Shadai Stallion Roster

Equinox will stand his second season in 2025, leading the Shadai Stallion Station roster alongside Kitasan Black (Jpn) and Kizuna (Jpn), each commanding a fee of ¥20,000,000 (€123,497/$133,000).

Equinox, whose first foals are set to arrive in 2025, maintains his 2024 fee, as does Kitasan Black, who boasts 11 stakes winners to date. Kizuna, however, sees an increase from ¥12,000,000 (€74,098/$79,800) after an outstanding year, with 14 stakes winners in 2024 alone, including G1 Satsuki Sho (Japanese St Leger) champion Justin Milano (Jpn).

Just below this leading trio is Triple Crown winner Contrail (Jpn), now priced at ¥18,000,000 (€111,158/$119,700), up from ¥15,000,000 (€92,631/$99,800) last year. His first 2-year-olds will hit the track in 2025. Suave Richard (Jpn), the Japanese Champion First-Season Sire, remains at ¥15,000,000 (€92,631/$99,800). His standout progeny includes Urban Chic (Jpn), the G1 Kikuka Sho (Japanese Fillies St Leger) winner.

Epiphaneia (Jpn) sees his fee reduced to ¥12,000,000 (€74,105/$79,800) from ¥15,000,000 after siring seven stakes winners in 2024, including G1 Classic stars Danon Decile (Jpn) and Stellenbosch (Jpn). A trio of stallions are set at ¥10,000,000 (€61,752/$66,500): first-season sires Saturnalia (Jpn), with 22 winners from 66 runners, Nadal, who delivered 25 winners from 58 runners, and established Group 1 sire Lord Kanaloa (Jpn).
