Race 1
1,2,11,4

Joker Man 22/10
Tough race with Joker Man reeling in 5 wins in a row, mainly with front running efforts. If he can get a lead and kick at the home turn, he will win.

Race 2
2,7,1,8

Rodeo Drive 8/10 is most likely one of Fourie two best rides on the day. He should take a power of beating especially with form behind the classy 2 year old filly Quid Pro Quo. Drawn 2 helps.

Race 3
8,2,1,5

Bourbon Warrior 12/1 may be the surprise package in this open race. He won well after a messy start last time out and could be anything.

Race 4
12,4,2,13

Quid Pro Quo 1/1 will be all the rage and even the wide draw may not prevent her from winning this Grade 1. She will love the extra distance and has a running style to suit the wide draw. Her come from behind running style would not suit Greyville if they get away at the top of the straight. Fully expecting for Fourie on Whistle The Tune to do that if he is handy enough.

Race 5
2,9,10,14

Open contest with The Specialist favoured at 8/1. We think he will enjoy the draw as opposed to the horrible draw the last time where he ran on best between the 600m and finish. He will be hard to beat in a handier position.

Race 6
11,5,12,3

Gladatorian 20/1 is a wily campaigner and is ideally a top 1400m horse with a possible Gr 1 winner in waiting for him. Unfortunately there are none at favourite distance in SA. If Lucky Lad fluffs his lines from the wide draw, this chap may be able to pick up the pieces, running on from far back. Otherwise a weak Grade 1 Sprint.

Race 7

6,7,11,3

A race made for Future Pearl 13/10 and a best bet on the card in what is these days a weak disvison over the staying trip. Best Bet.

Race 8

10,6,1,8

Weighted to win and should win, See It Again 18/10 could give Piere Striker Strydom another Grade 1 winner and winner number 4714 of his career. He will enjoy the 1800m and the race is made for him, 3rd run after the rest, running from a mid field position. If he is one off the rail and turning for home 3 lengths off the lead, it's race over!

Race 9
14,15,13,10

The best horse in the Woolavington 2000 was Hold My Hand (3rd) 12/1 in terms of running lines and should have won from a better draw. This is a tough race but she is a likely good each way bet.

Race 10

5,6,1,8

Pistol Pete's (2/1) race to lose at his favourite distance and what could be the most ideal course he runs at for his style. Hard to beat.

Best Bets
Race 2 Rodeo Drive (5 star)
Race 4 Quid Pro Quo (4 star)
Race 7 Future Pearl (5 star)
Race 8 See It Again (4 star)
Race 10 Pistol Pete (5 star plus)
