City of Troy's win in the Coral Eclipse race, following his Derby victory, highlighted the high regard in which he is held. City of Troy drifted to the right two furlongs out, but once he found the far rail, he maintained his lead over Al Riffa. Trainer Aidan O'Brien expressed concern about the soft ground, noting it was not ideal for City of Troy, who prefers good ground.
