Bluestocking Stars in Pretty Polly

Bluestocking triumphed in her first Group I race at the Curragh on Saturday, June 29, in the Pretty Polly Stakes, showcasing her tenacity against Emily Upjohn. Two hundred yards from the finish, Emily Upjohn appeared to have the victory secured in the rain-soaked race. However, Bluestocking, confidently ridden by Rossa Ryan, launched a strong attack, overcoming the early leader to secure the win.

Trainer Ralph Beckett expressed his relief and joy, exclaiming "Finally!" He acknowledged the challenges he has faced at the Curragh, noting Bluestocking's previous second-place finish in the Irish Oaks. Beckett always believed in Bluestocking's potential, even though they opted not to use Australian blinkers this time.

Bluestocking, a daughter of Camelot and Emulous, adorned in the iconic Juddmonte silks, is now expected to target the Nassau Stakes and the Yorkshire Oaks.
