Serino Moodley has been confirmed by assistant Gavin Van Zyl as the rider on Flag Man for the Durban July.

Flag Man, under Moodley, ran a close second to Green With Envy, the ruling July favourite.

SAHorseracing.COM spoke to Gavin Van Zyl this morning.

"Serino will ride the horse, he doing very well at home and I think he's improved," mentioned Van Zyl.

There have been rumors in the corridors of the sport that Moodley wouldn't ride the horse but that's been put to bed by the stable with this confirmation.

Flag Man, trained by Gareth Van Zyl, is currently quoted as 12/1 for the race and has drifted in the betting after the Gold Challenge. Green With Envy leads the boards at 3/1 with See It Again at 6/1.
