Thunderstruck, the multiple Gr1-winning Sprinter has been retired as announced by Sean Tarry.
Thunderstruck injured his knee during what appeared to be a comfortable and spectacular victory on Saturday.
Sean Tarry announced that after consulting with the veterinarians and racing manager Jehan Malherbe, it has been decided to retire him immediately.
According to Tarry and considering the late stage of the season, his exceptional achievements, and his value as a future stallion, this decision is deemed the most prudent.
Mary Slack, who entrusted the magnificent colt to his Tarry was singled out as deserving special thanks for her confidence throughout Thunderstruck's illustrious racing career.
