Voyage Bubble sets on HK Mile and the champ

Ricky Yiu is gearing up Voyage Bubble to challenge Golden Sixty once more, aiming for victory in the G1 FWD Champions Mile at Sha Tin. Despite narrowly missing out on top honors in the G1 LONGINES Hong Kong Mile, Voyage Bubble showcased promise, clinching his first top-level win in the G1 Stewards’ Cup and securing a commendable second place in the G1 Citi Hong Kong Gold Cup.

Yiu remains optimistic about Voyage Bubble's chances, dismissing his recent outing at the G1 Dubai Turf due to unfavorable race conditions and minor setbacks upon returning home. With jockey James McDonald back in the saddle and a favorable barrier draw, Yiu believes Voyage Bubble is primed for success.

However, Yiu acknowledges the unpredictability of weather conditions and its potential impact on track conditions, particularly noting Voyage Bubble's adaptability to softer tracks. Despite uncertainties, Yiu trusts in Voyage Bubble's ability to perform well, especially if the pace of the race suits his running style.

Additionally, Yiu's hopes extend to Nimble Nimbus, set to compete in the FWD QEII Cup against Romantic Warrior. While acknowledging Nimble Nimbus's consistent performance and reliability, Yiu remains hopeful for a strong finish in what promises to be a competitive race day.
