Team Valor Goes Big at Nationals

Team Valor, the world famous Syndicate operation based in the United States, has gone big at Nationals signaling a renewal of commitment to the industry in South Africa again.

The operation who are famous for buying Ipi Tombe, Iridescence and many others from a time when South Africa had played on the world stage especially in Dubai and Hong Kong, are back in a big way on the yearling market scene.

They got busy on day 2 of the National sale by purchasing 3 lots, two going to Candice Bass-Robinson and one to Vaughan Marshall.

The three include Lot 152, a smart What A Winter filly bought for R1.7 million, lot 157 for R1.6m a Rafeef Colt, in partnership with Marsh and Guy Shirtliff and lot 330, a One World colt for R1.3m. This colt will go to Marshall - he being the man responsible for taking One World to Gr1 glory.

Team Valor swooped on Frances Ethel just days before her SA Oaks win reminiscent of the days when the Syndicate's shrewd purchases were the talk of South African racing.

Team Valor, under Barry Irwin, are back in South Africa, in what seems a big way again. It's a huge vote of confidence in the market.
