Henry Cheadle, the outspoken racing commentator originally from South Africa but based in Stockholm, has sadly passed away. Known for his colorful commentary style, Cheadle gained notoriety for labeling a jockey as "a bloody idiot" during a live broadcast. Despite his outspoken nature, Cheadle was deeply passionate about racing and believed in calling things as he saw them.

In an interview with Punters in Australia, he once remarked, "I'm aware that my commentary style is quite outrageous. But I believe in speaking the truth. Whether it's a jockey or a driver, mistakes happen, but on that particular occasion, that particular jockey, well, he truly deserved the label. There's no denying it."

The South African was most known for his Swedish Trots commentary but also commentators in flat races in Sweden as well.
