Keagan De Melo, South Africa's reigning champion jockey, has his licence to ride in Hong Kong extended. De Melo has had 11 winners, 13 seconds and 14 thirds in his 199 rides to date. He's accumulated HK$21,130,050 in stakes. 

"The HKJC Licencing Committee, through a written resolution, officially approved an extension of the license for Club Jockeys Andrea Atzeni, Brenton Avdulla, and Keagan De Melo. This extension is effective from 13 February 2024 until the conclusion of the ongoing 2023/24 racing season," concluded the Jockey Club.
