Top jock Nooresh Juglall has succumbed to injuries from a fall at Champ De Mars in Port Louis Mauritius.

The island mad racing population held its collective breath when Juglalls horse fell after a horse in front of him fell after being ackward over a patchy area on the track.

The fall itself was horrific as Juglall lay motionless as he was attended to. He was in a semi coma in hospital and died shortly thereafter.

Juglall is well known in South Africa and his achievements on track will long be remembered.

The best horse he was associated with was Cherry On The Top. 

Golden Tractor was euthanized after the tragic incident. Juglall's horses Rule The Night could not avoid Golden Tractor after he fell on a patchy part of the track. 

It's a tragic day for racing.
