On Wednesday 11 May at Scottsville Racecourse two Apprentices from the South African Jockey Academy celebrated a rare double by both winning their first race as apprentices on the same day.
Dennis Schwarz, a 2nd year apprentice at the South African Jockey Academy, rode his 1st winner Race 3, aboard No. 1 "CRONOLOGICAL" trained by Gavin Van Zyl. While Serino Moodley, also a 2nd year apprentice at the South African Jockey Academy, rode his 1st winner in Race 7, aboard No. 8 "BORN TO RULE" trained by Andre Nel.
Both of these young apprentices are working very hard on their race riding and are expected to continue to do well in their future rides.
