4Racing Rolls Out Incentives to Lure Visiting Stables for The Championships

4Racing has unveiled a comprehensive Raiding Trainer Incentive Programme designed to attract visiting trainers and owners to the The Championships feature race season.

The programme comes into effect on Gauteng Guineas Day and runs through to The Championships Finale on 25 April 2026, with the focus firmly on encouraging sustained participation across the season rather than isolated raids.

Four race days have been designated as Showpiece Days, forming the backbone of the Highveld’s elite racing calendar:

  • Day 1: Guineas Day – 7 February 2026
  • Day 2: Classic Day – 7 March 2026
  • Day 3: Champions Day – 4 April 2026
  • Day 4: The Championships Finale – 25 April 2026

These fixtures host the pinnacle contests of the season and carry enhanced incentives for successful raiders.

For races conducted on non-showpiece meetings between Guineas Day and The Championships, winning raiders will qualify for:

  • R10,000 to the trainer
  • R10,000 to the owner

On Showpiece Days, the incentives are significantly increased. For races valued at less than R500,000, the winning raider’s connections will receive:

  • R50,000 to the trainer
  • R50,000 to the owner

For races worth more than R500,000 on Showpiece Days, an incentive of R50,000 will apply to the winning trainer.

In addition to prize-linked incentives, transport subsidies will be available for raiding runners competing in Grade 1 to Listed races. These subsidies will be assessed on a province-by-province and case-by-case basis, with final determinations made at the time of entries.

Raiding trainers will also have the option of complimentary rental accommodation at selected venues, subject to availability, should they choose to base themselves locally through to The Championships Finale.

4Racing has confirmed that additional incentives for owners and trainers are currently in development and will be announced in due course.
