Frantastic – The Full Brother to Cracksman Standing in South Africa

Frantastic hails from a distinguished Grade 1-producing female family that traces back to Tessa Gillian, the high-class full sister to influential sire Royal Charger and a three-parts sister to Nasrullah.

He is a full brother to Champion European three-year-old Cracksman (Timeform 136), whose early stud success includes siring the outstanding Ace Impact, winner of both the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe and French Derby. Ace Impact has since joined the stallion ranks in France.

Ace Impact is out of Absolutely Me, a daughter of Anabaa Blue. Through his dam line, Anabaa Blue descends from Allegretta, the celebrated matriarch who is also the granddam of Frankel’s sire Galileo. Anabaa Blue additionally carries a double cross of Riverman, a son of Never Bend.

Ace Impact’s granddam, Tadawul (by Diesis), contributes a duplication of Crepello, one strain coming through Bustino, who also appears in the pedigree of Cracksman through his broodmare sire Pivotal.

The fifth dam of both Frantastic and Cracksman is Courtessa, a daughter of Supreme Court (by Precipitation) out of Tessa Gillian, the Nearco mare closely related to Nasrullah. This branch of the family mirrors patterns frequently encountered among the leading performers by Frankel.

Courtessa is also the ancestress of Champion Golden Horn. His sire, Cape Cross, descends from the mare Balidaress, whose pedigree relationship to Courtessa further strengthens the influence of this distinguished family.
