Kangaroo Jack, who had to lug top weight of 61 kgs in Saturday's 1200m event, powered clear to register a 1.75 length victory from a fast finishing Angel's Power (Miesque's Approval) -despite giving the latter being in recent of no less than 7.5 kgs!
Former Gr3 Tommy Hotspur Handicap winner Moofeed (Duke Of Marmalade) put up an honest effort back in third ahead of Buckland (Western Winter) back in fourth place.
The winner, who has now won five of just nine outings, stopped the clock in a time of 70.98.
One of two graded winners produced in his sire's first crop (Cosmic Light being the other), Kangaroo Jack is one of five winners produced by Listed The Scarlet Lady winner Rainbow Flag (Model Man).
