RACE 1:Maiden Juvenile Plate 1400m Bend

HOLLYWOOD CHIEF (Mike De Kock/Anthony Delpech) made a good debut last time when starting in the red. Should go close again tonight. Was running on last time. WINTER SKYE (Charles Laird/Anton Marcus) has had three attempts at winning his maiden and has improved with each run. Should fight this one out. I have picked out three first timers that could make an impression tonight. They are SEEKING ANGELO (Mike De Kock/Muzi Yeni), SILVER FLYER (Mike De Kock) and ROKOCOKO (Charles Laird).

RACE 2:Maiden Juvenile Plate (F) 1400m Bend

CASTLE QUEEN (Mike De Kock/Anthony Delpech) showed big improvement in her second start. That was this C & D and was running on to complete the race in second place. Good chance again. ALL ACCOUNTED FOR will be running on. Muzi Yeni has the ride for Duncan Howells. Watch for even more improvement. JETER (Charles Laird/Anton Marcus) was supported on debut last time. Ignore that run as she should be better tonight. MAGIC PRINCESS showed a ten length improvement last time when finishing less than a length in fourth behind Hijacked. Was running on. Watch the betting on the first timer  from the Neil Bruss yard and to be ridden by Karl Neisius, ELECTRIC INDIGO.

RACE 3:Maiden Plate (F & M) 1400m Bend

KEY PROSPECT made a good debut last time over 1200m. Finished second that day. Should improve on that run. RESTRAINT showed big improvement last time. Faded late but has a good chance in this field. Anton Marcus rides for Paul Peter. DETECTORIST runs for the twenty-first time but has steady form. STAGE WHISPER (Dennis Drier/Alec Forbes) will be running on and is distance suited. YET AGAIN can place with an apprentice allowance.

RACE 4:Maiden Plate 2000m Bend

NOMZANE showed very good improvement last time at this track but over 1900m. Should be ready to win soon. Anton Marcus has the ride. SOLERA has steady form and was running on late in his last two. SLEW THE BOLD is a bit inconsistent but runs best races at this track. LEROY BROWN (Mike De Kock/Anthony Delpech) improved sixteen lengths last time and must have a chance on that. Moderate form to date though. FAMOUS WORDS did show some signs of life last time. Place chance.

RACE 5:MR 79 Hcp 1600m Bend

WEST COAST SWING (Charles Laird/Anton Marcus) has run five times for two wins, two seconds and a close up third. Is sure to have even more improvement to come and is one to consider a serious runner tonight. DRUM SCORE (Sean Tarry) has good post maiden form and could be considered over the extra distance. EMPENOSO HENN (Mike De Kock/Anthony Delpech) made a winning debut last time. May need to confirm. FOURTH ESTATE runs his best races at this track. Chance on some fair form. DON'T SAY DON'T is holding form well and usually runs on. The extra distance will probably suit.

RACE 6:MR 95 Hcp 1600m Bend

CASTLETHORPE (Mike Bass/Karl Neisius) won his last two Cape Town runs. The gelding seems to have done the trick. Has faced far stronger in stronger company and should be in line for the hat trick of wins. Has won twice this distance. ICE AXE (Charles Laird/Anton Marcus) won his first three starts before finishing second in a MR 95 handicap. Unbeaten over the distance (2 from 2). CASEY DA LADY has not won in a while but the Alec Laird runner could cause something of an upset. Place prospect though. BAY ROUTE won well last time this C & D but should have more to do. OMEGA WARRIOR (Sean Tarry) has won three.

RACE 7:MR 85 Hcp 1200m Bend

BURAGH showed good pace in a minor feature last time. Has won this C & D and could be the one to beat. COFFEE SHEIK has only run three times for a win and two good seconds. Runs ion well and showed up well in his post maiden last time. Looks to be one that should improve even more and could be a threat. DAUNTLESS DELANCE may be coming back to form as he did show improvement last time. Runs well over the distance. Not his favourite track though. MISS FILLY will have an apprentice allowance to assist her. Has not won in a while. COOL CONQUEROR may improve on some fair Cape Town form. Trainer Darryl Hodgson does well in KZN. Karl Neisius rides tonight.

RACE 8:MR 69 Hcp (F & M) 1300m Bend

TO GO WEST (Gavin Van Zyl) ran a good post maiden last time when showing good pace. Faded late though. Could be one to show improvement. FOXTROT BABY is unlikely to disappoint. She is very consistent and will be finding more late. ELLE RASSA (Mike De Kock/Muzi Yeni) won her maiden at the fourth attempt last time by four lengths. Should be respected but may need to confirm and should improve even more. MOYAWAMI has moderate post maiden form but could cause an upset. Was returning from a six month sabbatical last time! The two-year-old TENACIOUS TESS takes on older rivals tonight. If it is not past her bed time, she could go close.

RACE 9:MR 67 Hcp (F & M) 1300m Bend

TWICE DOUBLE has some promising post maiden form. Should find this shorter trip more to her liking. LADY LECTURE has shown improvement in her last two starts. Must be considered. SONG OF RUSSIA is seldom far off and in this field must rate a chance. PENNY LANE did not show in her post maiden last time but this is her favourite track. LAST TOUCH was fair in her post maiden last time. Consider with a light mass.
